On Monday evening 16th April I will be hosting an event to help raise funds for Anja Bakker and give people the chance to try out Zentangle accompanied by Harp Music and facilitated by 3 (or more!) Certified Zentangle Teachers.
The will also be examples of work on show, gathered from local classes and from further afield.
The Harp is being played by Anja Bakker (The Flauting Harper) from West Cork. Anja is on a 5 month pilgrimage from Clonakilty to Rome travelling approximately 2,000miles through 5 countries including the Alps over ancient tracks. Anja is walking and carrying her harp and essential needs.
Her performances have been described as: ‘Mesmerizing’, ‘stunning’, ‘hypnotic’ and ‘unbelievably beautiful and relaxing’. ‘She draws you in and then… out you come on the other side, different, if you know what I mean.’
The pilgrimage is being followed by local radio and a TV documentary on her arrival in Rome.
The Venue is Cafe Ronak, 169 Gloucester Road, Bristol BS7 8BE
5.30 – 8.00pm
- The event is free but a donation towards Anja’s pilgrimage will be much appreciated.
- All resources will be supplied.
- Drinks and food are available to purchase from the café at the beginning of the evening and during a mid-way break.
